Mediterranean Maritime Research and Training Centre Coop. (MMRTC) - MT

The Mediterranean Maritime Research and Training Centre Coop.  (MMRTC) is a Training Institution founded in 2011 by the Malta Maritime Pilots with the primary objective to train Marine Pilots and conduct risk assessments for local and foreign ports.  MMRTC focuses on maritime training and research, particularly in the field of pilotage training. The organisation offers training for pilots and seafarers, including simulations and on the job training. 


Nicola Vapstarov Naval Academy (NVNA) - BG

NVNA is the oldest technical school in Bulgaria. With its illustrious history and traditions in training sea specialists, NVNA is one of the symbols of Varna and Bulgaria in the world maritime community. The academy trains specialists for the Navy and for the Merchant Navy in all areas of maritime life.


World Maritime University (WMU) - SE

The World Maritime University operates under the auspices of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), a specialised agency of the United Nations. WMU thus enjoys the status, privileges and immunities of a UN institution in Sweden. Established by an IMO Assembly Resolution in 1983, its basic aim is to enhance the objectives and goals of the IMO and IMO member states around the world.


University of Turku (UoT)- FI

University of Turku, the second largest and one of the leading universities in Finland with 21,000 students. The university is a member of the Coimbra Group, a network of prestigious universities in Europe. One of the recognised areas of strength of the university is learning and education research. In addition to seven faculties, the university has 12 special units dedicated to research and/or learning, e.g. the Centre for Maritime Studies (CMS).


Spinaker (SPIN) - SI

SPIN is the largest maritime education company in Slovenia. They develop and deliver their own training programmes (including content) for all of their courses.


Centre For Development Works (OPR) - PL

OPR is a maritime education provider and research centre, which places emphasis on upgrading existing marine standards. It specialise in the upgrade and assessment of professional competencies, developing modern techniques and tools for learning, and evaluating marine navigation systems. Research is focused on the human factor and safety of navigation.


University of Antwerp (UoA) - BE 

The University of Antwerp comprises three campuses and is the third largest university in Flanders, with a student population of almost 10,000. It provides education in the arts, political and social sciences, law, applied economics, commercial engineering, natural and medical sciences, pharmacy, biomedical and veterinary sciences, computer science, and information sciences. The University of Antwerp has an impressive track record in research and its academic staff successfully competes for grants on an international basis. 


Piri Reis University (PRU) - TR 

Piri Reis University is the first maritime university in Turkey, providing a wide range of maritime and non-maritime subjects. PRU was established by the support and sponsorship of the Turkish maritime sector.


Antwerp Maritime Academy (AMA) - BE

The Antwerp Maritime Academy is the only college in Belgium offering training in Nautical Sciences and Marine Engineering. Courses are taught in Dutch and French. There are 38% foreign (non-Belgian) students with 22 different nationalities. The Antwerp Maritime Academy is a member of the “Association of Antwerp University and Colleges” (AUHA) which carries out education and research into a broad range of topics including the Maritime Industry.
